[OOC Post] Promptfic Meme

I've deduced long ago that I have become a memewhore.

This is a sentences meme. Basically, you pick one of my characters or their partner, provide a prompt (usually just a single or couple words, or a situation), and I'll write a short fan-ficcy collection of sentences for them.

Culumon didn't seem to like it when his partner looked distressed. He had been trying to cheer her up for a little while, but his large ears deflated when he realized that scowl just wasn't going to leave her face.

"..Aren'tcha gonna tell me what's wrong, Sari...?" he asked sadly.

Sari, in turn huffed in her response, "Optimus and the others had better have a good explanation to keep me waiting with these creeps!"

Granted, their "captors" had been treating them well, but... well, not even the naive nature of Culumon could mask the fact there was something very fishy about that penguin thing and his flunkies...

Satsuma and Kudamon

Even when Satsuma was handed the data reports onto the holodesk before him, something about it didn't feel right. Punching numbers, entering algorithms that were probably better suited to the likes of Tohma to get it to work.. the DATS commander was hoping that these surveillance reports were correct.

"Satsuma," Kudamon said from over his shoulder, "what do the reports say about the Dark Area's advancing troop levels?"

Satsuma looked surprised as the counts came up--if 'shocked' was too strong a word--as he replied, "...According to this, it's over 9,000."

"What!?" Kudamon said surprisingly loud in his own surprised, "9,000!?"

Satsuma nodded solemnly, while Kudamon hung his head while shaking it, "There's no way that can be right."

There was silence for a moment as the thought of it sunk in. "...Could it?"

Veemon always figured he had a lot more to learn. Commander Grademon himself said that when his class finally graduated; he'd always emphasize that no matter what you accept upon yourself, there was always something else that you needed to learn afterwards.

Of course...even though finally finding Optimus changed things--a lot--he was always trying to learn everything he could, even if it meant pounding on his partner's mammoth leg to get him to teach him something.

There was just one thing Veemon never expected to learn, though:

"Um, Big Bot?"

"What is it now, Veemon?"

"...You're holding it all wrong. The King's Passive-Aggressive Stance has your foot out like this."
