[ Ariadne has not been having the best past few days. First she gets in a fight with George (which is entirely his fault, obviously), then she tries to hold up a casino that one of her housemates works at with a complete stranger, and now this. 'This', of course, is the mistletoe and all of the ugly side-effects it's causing ( Read more... )

[After the kiss with Bucky, Steve is sort of in a flurry of holy crap I kissed my best friend panic, and he isn't really paying attention to where he's going.

So it's not that Ariadne is short that causes him not to see her when he bumps into her. He manages to catch her before she falls - thank god for his fast reflexes - and pulls her up against him.

And then the evil mistletoe made itself known because Steve Rogers pulls her up for a kiss.]

[ She absolutely does not squeak when a man who feels like he's part cement truck runs into her on the street and she nearly falls over. At least he was kind enough to catch her, even if holy crap no one should really be that fast and... oh he's sort of nice and solid and...

Oh. Kissing now. She's still breathless from nearly being knocked to the ground, which probably makes her kissing back come off as much filthier than intended. Oops. ]

[The first thing that Steve notices is that she is so tiny. She weighs so little in his arms as he holds her up. She's kind of soft and cuddly.

Also she kisses really dirty.

It's also a miracle that when the kiss ends he doesn't drop her. Instead he blinks, staring down at her in his arms, and very carefully sets her down.

And whispers.]

I am so, so sorry, ma'am.

[ There are a lot of people who can pick her up and haul her around; it's not exactly hard. Very few of them are quite this built though, and maybe she shouldn't, but she's going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Not that it lasts for very long, but at least he doesn't drop her. ]

Um. It's okay. Curses, you know?

[ Yes, Ariadne, it's way too much to ask. Especially when you could get there are awkward angels in trenchcoats looming about. Though, Castiel's not as tall as most other fellas either, which should help her neck out, right?

Suddenly he's just there and bending down to meet her lips. And landing on her chin.

Did we mention the angel part? C'mon, Aria, he could use the practice! ]

[ The flash of the trenchcoat immediately makes her think 'Arthur', but Castiel is definitely not Arthur (and thank god for small miracles, no pun re: their heights intended). He definitely has to work on his aim, though.

One hand goes to his face to tilt it up slightly so he actually hits her lips while the other ends up wrapped around him. He needs the practice? The curse is happy to make her happy to oblige. ]

[ Oh, that's much better. Now that things are a little more normal, Castiel kisses Ariadne rather eagerly. The pull of the curse is a little too much to resist, but he can try to maneuver them out of it.

Castiel's hands go to her waist and he pulls her toward him more, in what may seem like an overeager embrace. He then begins to edge them out from underneath their mistletoe. ]

[ She's apparently spent too much time kissing redheaded wizards lately, because it takes her a moment to realize that Castiel is actually attempting to get them out from under the mistletoe and not just getting handsy. On the bright side, she's already sort of wrapped around him, so hopefully it won't take as long.

It is a rather nice kiss, though. Points for enthusiasm. ]

[Dawn is strutting through the hallways of City Solutions, notebook under one arm and lost in her own thoughts and the rhythmic click of her heels over the marble floor. Without even thinking about it, she walks straight over to Ariadne and plants a kiss on her lips. Then quickly backs up and shakes her head.]

Sorry. I've been doing that today like it's the things to do. [She glances up at the mistletoe and back to Ariadne.] Don't sue for sexual harassment? Cause I really can't control myself! Stupid curses.

[ Considering who else could have come across her, Ariadne is rather thankful it's Dawn, and also rather thankful the kiss was fairly short. ]

It's okay, so have I. Honestly, if I was going to sue anyone for sexual harassment, it wouldn't be you. [ Because she's suddenly thinking back to Tony asking her if she finds Dawn attractive and really, really hoping he's not watching the security feeds. ]

Oh thank goodness. I just keep embarrassing myself over and over and over in a rinse and repeat kind of way and it's like some icky twilight zone. Not that -- kissing you was icky. Cause it wasn't. It was just surprising cause I don't swing that way. Not that I'magainstswingingthatway!! Yeah. Shutting up now.

[She takes a deep breath and is obviously embarrassed and frazzled and rambling just as much as usual if not more because of it.]

[ Ariadne is just going to fish a bottle of water out of her messenger bag and pass it to her. Deep breaths, Dawn. ]

I don't think the mistletoe is really including our preferences in this. Mr. Stark's preferences, maybe, but not ours.

[This is becoming a seriously eventful walk to work. He just notices Ariadne out of the corner of his eye before he strides over, holding her by the shoulders to bend down and kiss her.]

[ God, tell her about it. And of course everyone is taller than her, though she is at least trying to lean up to meet Stephen. ]

[It's pretty brief before Stephen is pulling back again.]

Uh... I didn't mean to do that.

[ She gives him a slight grin. It's all cool, Stephen. ]

[Hey, look. There's a guy leading a horse along through the street. Wait, what? Odd thing to see. But...there's apparently a cowboy visiting the inner parts of the City today. Unfortunate day to do it. ...well, maybe... Does he see Ariadne--?]

[ If he doesn't see her, she certainly sees him -- and the horse. She's actually frozen in place, head tilted to the side. He's not going to kiss the horse, is he? ]

[No he's not going to kiss the horse :| But he'll look up and see her, standing there, apparently surprised...by something.]

Hello.

[ Okay, shaking herself out of it. Stop staring at the cowboy, Ariadne, it's rude. ]

Hey.

[ There's a moment when personal space and curiosity have a battle in her head, but as usual, curiosity wins out and she starts to head over -- to look at the horse. ] Is he -- she? -- yours?
