Damn, glad it's you, dude. Or else I'm just a crazy guy talking to a jungle cat. Uh, you alright? Can you get out of your room on your own?
[When Stephen was cursed into something bipedal, doorknobs became a huge problem.]

As it is, Ariadne mews again, tilting her head to one side. She really has no idea whether she can get out or not, but at this point, she's rather content to stay inside and not be assaulted by Pancake or Rhada... or Eames, or Arthur, or Yusuf... ]

[ He doesn't. But he does hold Pancake back from harassing the sudden... cheetah-fied architect. The dog just looks more confused than aggressive, at least. ]

At least it wasn't a bite. She can work with this.
As it is, her current small size means that attempting to bond with Pancake -- which always makes her feel better -- is going to mean she has to crawl at least partially onto Eames's lap. She would retract her claws so that she doesn't scratch him, but as it turns out, cheetahs are unable to. Either way, the cub cautiously puts her two front paws on his leg, leaning in to nuzzle Pancake's neck. ]

Making conversation with someone who ...can't make conversation seems stupid to him, but he does reach to scratch behind her ears, having figured out earlier on she likes that. It's a bit of a relief that she hasn't lost all of her mentality - meaning what's left of their apartment (mostly the odd piece of furniture, sofa, a table chair, the counter) is safe. Sort of. ]

She's curious as to what he's doing, though, so she opens her eyes (still big and brown, even like this) and paws at him. ]

Or something.
His brow arches at the pawing and he's mindful of the claws. ]
New place'll be bigger. Everyone actually gets a room.
[ So much for not making conversation, but he's not asking her to reply so maybe it counts as ruminating.]

And if she maybe, maybe wishes people would stroke her hair when she turns back into a human, well... She'll figure something out.
There's another mew at his statement, and then a tiny nose presses against some of the numbers on his paper. ]
