2009: The year of Reclamation

So it begins. My life needs to change for the better and this is the year it is going to. I will reclaim Brent's life back. I'm not attempting to return to some point in my past. Instead, I will take my LIFE back and get on with the business of living that I have let grow stagnant ( Read more... )

I love this name, and the meaning behind it! Further, I love that the tradition of naming the new year has moved out to you guys. It makes me happy to see people pick up on a good thing.

These are GREAT resolutions -- challenging, but totally attainable. They have nice breadth to them across different areas of your life. Here are a few thoughts:

#3 - See if your area has a section on freecycle.org. It's a site Marie introduced me to. People exchanging totally free stuff all the time. It's a wonderful place to get rid of the junk you don't want, and often find helpful things like shelves to organize the stuff you do want. Free. It's worth investigating. Craig's List is good for this, too.

#5 - Have you heard of the book, The Five Love Languages? I was introduced to it this year and I've become a cultist devotee of it. I can honestly say that it's improved all my human relationships, not just my romance with Ian. It's all about how people communicate and receive messages of love.
