It doesn't take much to impress Dave, really -- he was smitten from the day she let him talk about Doctor Who for hours, the day that she declared herself his companion and told him they'd travel the world together. Dave believed her; Jade had this way about her, that way that said she was always sincere. She wanted people to hear the truth, so she provided it. It wasn't false in any way. Jade always believed that people could bring out the best in themselves, and Dave was no exception. She wanted him to succeed, even though he told her that he might never leave the island.
i doubt that!!!! i mean lmao jeez dave we are only thirteen :) imagine what can happen in a year or two! <3
She was right, of course -- it always surprised him how accurate she could be about these things without a single look at the Oracles of Skaia. He watched her when he dreamed, his Princess -- no, his Companion, thinking of the fun they'd have together. Of how many adventures they could have, of traveling through space together. ( ... )
