"In writing, habit seems to be a much stronger force than either will power or inspiration." ~John Steinbeck

Okay. John Steinbeck. A guy that definitely knew whereof he spoke. So I just need to get into the habit of writing something on a regular basis. Anything, doesn't have to be "War And Peace" (which I know is not by Steinbeck, it's just an ( Read more... )

*grin*

Nice to see you!

If I ever get given smoked salmon, you can have it.

due South/tam lin sounds very interesting indeed. But who gets abducted by the queen of the faries? Ray or Fraser? Because Ray is prettier and it would mean that Fraser would get to do lots of crazy mountie stuff to get him back, but if Fraser was taken, Kowalski could do the whole underdog thing. But then, maybe Victoria is really the queen of the fairies or something.

(I am totally not freaked by weird crossovers since I spent most of December writing two)

**grins back. waves.**

I bow before the greatness of your weird crossovers. I read them while in the grip of the aforementioned doldrums, part of which are these weird, anti-social moods where I read fic voraciously but don't leave feedback. I get this kind of communication deficit disorder or something. Part of it's my job. I'm working for 3 different families right now and I'm always calm and patient and there when they need me. Sometimes I get a little fucking tired of it so I shut myself away and don't want to talk to anyone except Phillip 'til it's time to go back to work. I do realize this is not conducive to having a social life and am trying to change my ways. I also realize most nannies probably don't blow off steam by going on marathon porn binges. So me being a big freak definitely factors into it:)

I love Neil Gaimen's stuff, but haven't read American Gods yet. Fraser as an incarnation of Justice is a very clever idea. And due South/Narnia! Good Lord, I would never have thought of that! At first I thought "Fraser's so ( ... )

Of course Ray would get kidnapped, he's shiny and pretty and you can pet his hair and feed him chocolates. You've clearly put a lot of thought into it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Like your Tam Lin thing, the Narnia story did a lot of... *thinks for a word*... went through a lot of metamorphoses, some of which really surprised the pants off me. Originally, I was going to have victoria actually turn up, only to be killed by RayV with his gun...

And then I realised that RayV was in his pyjammas and I can't see anyone (even post Vegas Vecchio) keeping a gun in their pyjammas. Which got me thinking that waitaminute killing Victoria the moment she loomed over fraser's shoulder was plot dumb. Because Fraser and possibly Kowalski would freak and Fraser would almost certainly fall into little itty bitty bits. And it would not work. Likewise the argument re: the end of innocence and Narnia as a dominion of Canada.

Sorry this is a short reply but me=brain dead.
