A lot of you want some kind of Christmas party, so this is the menu I've got for Christmas Eve. Any suggestions or revisions from kitchen staff or otherwise, now's a good time:

Appetizers
Cheese and Crackers

Main CourseTurkey (4) - We'll have leftovers for sandwiches for a day or two ( Read more... )

December 24th is Christmas Eve. Don't worry, Kid.

It'll be fun.

What are we supposed to do for it? I've only heard about this Santa Clause. And that seems completely impossible.

Santa Claus is just a fairy tale we tell to our kids. You know, "If you're good, Santa will leave you gifts. If you're bad, he'll leave you coal."

Used to be, the holiday was the winter solstice, but the Christians celebrated the birth of Jesus on the same day, so Christmas took over.

Most everyone celebrates it, I'd say, Christian or not. It's a time for everyone to stop being an asshole for a while, be generous, have a little charity, care about their fellow man. It's a beautiful thing. You'll like it.

Will there be rum and bourbon for the eggnog? Or will we need to bring that ourselves?

You okay, Princess?

Doing the best I can, the only way I know how.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I'm just a cook, Princess, not the blood bank.

Everyone's invited. I have to feed the ones who don't drink blood, you see what I'm saying?

Don't you get it from the infirmary?

Look, my point here is that I don't normally supply you with blood. Why do you expect me to supply it on Christmas eve?

Hello-I'm Susan, a new Warden here.

On the Disc, where Captain Swing and I come from, it's usually traditional to have sausages, roast pork, and the like for our winter holiday, Hogswatch. I noticed there's already ham on the menu, but good sausages would be welcome, if that can be arranged.
