Cair Paravel: Sunday Late Morning - Afternoon

None of the Narnians  were really getting up terribly early after the wedding, but once people were up and moving about, a brunch was laid out in one of the 'family' (i.e. not quite so enormous) dining rooms for all the Fandom guests before the portals started taking people back to their homes.

The good mood from yesterday had carried over to today

"Try the... things." Xander points to something he can't remotely identify, that contains chocolate, which is really all he needs to know. "They're awesome."

"Things, awesome, got it," Bridge nods and picks one up to take a bite. "Ooh. How come we didn't do something like this after our wedding, again?"

"We were gonna go to the moon," Xander reminds him.

"We could've had brunch before the moon," Bridge points out. "Or brunch on the moon."

"Well, we could've planned brunch on the moon. We wouldn't have got there."

"Point," Bridge admits. "We could do moon brunch when we actually *do* manage to get there. Eventually."

"Good plan." Xander nods. "Think we could get ...things--" He waves one. "--catered in from Narnia?"

"Well, the High King's my brother-in-law and all now," Bridge says. "So maybe we could arrange something."

"So I married a guy with connections Awesome." Yes, those connections are through him. Shh.

"Uh-huh," Bridge nods. "Connections, and more of those chocolate thingies," he takes one off his own plate and puts it on Xander's.

"And now we know why I married him," Xander teases as he stabs it with a fork. He looks down at his hands as he says it, though, and doesn't look up for a while.

"Hey," And that's Bridge's hand moving to cover the closest one of Xander's. Which also happens to be the one with the ring on it.

"Nothing," Bridge says, then shakes his head. "Everything. I love you."

"I know." Which in another galaxy, long ago and far far away might get him slapped, but anyway. "I love you too. Just... I dunno. It shouldn't even matter, right?"

"It shouldn't," Bridge agrees. "Which is why it sucks. And it's like, I *know* a lot of things happened differently in my universe. But I never expected that to be one of them."
