A government agency (not identified to protect their own stupidity), sent a letter with a request for a copy of a disposition of a case.  They included an envelope, with the address of "Little Creek Damn Road".

Um...please correct your stationary to "Little Creek DAM Road", so that it's not swearing at me, k?

Until the paper is signed, all an admissions counselor can tell you is that it looks good. It's the CYA factor, but if you were told all looks well, you should be good.

Not really related but it's my own little dam story:
During the years I taught World Geography I used a dam joke when I did the unit on the North Africa and the Middle East. Students had to know the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River. One of my review questions was always, "What's the dam name?" The first time I said it in each class it always caught them off guard. "Did he just curse in class?" At test time they never forgot the dam though.
