Since Jen had met Daniel and Jethro at the ER, she had her own car there.  Daniel had opted to ride home with Jethro, so she went on her own.  She didn't even realize she had peeled out of the hospital parking lot.  Emotional driving leads to speeding; it's a small miracle she didn't get pulled over by DC police.  Getting home before Daniel and

Jethro pulled in a short while later climbing out of the truck and getting Daniel out of his booster seat. The mostly asleep boy wrapped his arms around Jethro's neck already out of it again.

When she sees his headlights shining on the garage door, Jen gets out of her car and locks it up for the night. As he gets Daniel out of the truck, she fishes her keys from her bag and then leads the way to the front door.

He follows his hand rubbing up and down Daniel's back. It had been a stressful night.
