No offense, but I'm not listening until anything you say until you watch the rest of the show - THEN you can talk about character development and bad acting and mock the obvious parallels to real life, etc.
Except for the bit about Roslin, 'cause she's the awesomest.
I never claimed to be an expert in the show. But they made a big push to get new viewers this season, and I've picked up all the background that Sci Fi provided (the one hour special, the short previews, the written materials on the website, along with having watched several previous eps and talked at length with someone who *has* been watching the whole time) so I'm a pretty good example of the new people they're bringing in. And this storyline that they're starting with isn't working for me.
It also isn't likely to sell dvds to people they're successful in bringing in this season, so it's not a great plan for their bottom line, either.
Plus, I snark about everything I watch. Even the stuff I love, like Numb3rs. I mock whatever I like, really. And good characterization last season doesn't earn points for bad dialogue this season.
...I just meant when it came to me personally reading/responding, because I didn't want to spoil you for previous seasons when it came to agreeing or disagreeing with what you're saying about the show. I have no idea how the show looks to someone who just started with this season, and I wouldn't want to.
