Thank you for the post, OP. Compared to other reality shows, these interviews and the cast's reaction are very authentic and not scripted. I feel so bad for these girls, their experiences are basically common knowledge to any K-pop fan yet hearing it from them makes me sad and almost guilty that I listened to their songs.

I'm glad that more and more idols from the 2nd generation are opening up about their hardships. Maybe it can led to a change for the current generation.

Do you know where I can watch the entire show subbed?

Yeah, i was expecting fluff, not real talk like this.
I'm not sure the show will get subbed, i haven't seen any MBN variety shows get subbed before. Maybe some fansubbers will be generous to sub it? But here's the full ep in raw: https://twitter.com/andrki75/status/1314251923248287745?s=20

this is......so awful? I'm in tears reading all of it and feel so incredibly bad for them all. I can take some solace in that they have each other at least.

(also, OP the first video is region locked??)

Thanks for the write up, OP!

I saw a post about Sera's late night eating/spending and was going to make a post about but decided to hold out just in case the whole episode gets subbed. I am still hoping that this show gets subbed by some team/fans somewhere because the premise and lineup is so good. Every segment seems so heartbreaking but I'm glad these stories are being brought to light.

credits for 99% of the write up go to soompi :]
I'd already be thankful if some cuts get subbed :(( The cut with Sera was especially heartbreaking, she just seems so isolated and sad :( I wonder if it wouldn't be healthier for her to do a complete cut with the entertainment industry :(

100%. But the problem is that being in the entertainment industry is the only thing she knows. Same goes for other idol singers that didn't hit big but spent years training and promoting, neglecting their education and personal growth. Idols are used that their managers and agencies do everything for them, from business meetings to personal schedules, contracts, paying rent, housing etc.
She's 33, she should quit the industry alltogether and get a normal job, maybe continue her education with online classes or something else. She can still be a singer for weddings or something, but streaming and appearing on tv once in a while won't pay her bills forever.

Stellar's story makes me sad. because the girls have said they weren't comfortable, but it was also their outlet to earn something. and the company's comments have always put me off, especially after their whole makestar campaign to push the sexy image.

I hope Soyeon gets more support from fellow idols, because it sounded like T-ara didn't have many friends through that dark period. and it probably didn't help that most of them weren't extroverts, so it probably was very hard for them to seek comfort from other idols who didn't know the story too.

Stellar's story makes me feel a bit guilty as well, because i remember i was also in the camp of they should be allowed to be sexy and their songs were so good! but now, hearing again and again that it was against their will and that they were completely pressured into it just makes everything feel dirty.

T-ara said that they didn't have many friends in the industry and even if they met up with them it had to be done in private because they were afraid of getting papped and that it would hurt the image of their celebrity friends. I think Eunjung said that she would meet up with Yuri secretly and not post about it on Instagram because of sones.
