Yesterday Dan and I went shopping for some new work clothes for me (finally!). I was in desperate need of pants and some new shirts wouldn't hurt, so we went to Target and actually found some really cute things there. I also got an awesome green raincoat/tranchcoat that I love. I hope it rains soon :P ( Read more... )

Good for you!

I would love to get a bigger cage for my carpet sharks but the ones at the store are *so* expensive and I'm not sure if a C&C cage would work well... It would need a top and would have to be really, really secure. Ferrets can slip in and out of some really tight spaces. I've done some searches but can't seem to find much helpful. They're all about guinea pigs, rabbits, and chinchillas.

I think you could build one for them. I made a top out of the cubes, and some people use those wire shelving things for closets as lids, like you see here: http://www.guineapigcages.com/types.htm

You could probably just use the leash-clips like I have on my cage to keep it shut, just more of them on any opening parts. I've seen people using binder clips too. Anything that you don't think they could open themselves would work as 'locks', really.

We built some travel cages out of C&C, we could bring one up next time we visit you (which should be soon!) and see if they can work their way out of it. Be like a trial run :P

What's a C&C cage? I've never had anything other than cats and fish. I'd love a guinea pig. They're so cute. Do they cuddle? *perk*

It stands for cubes & coroplast (that plastic-like material they use to make signs that can withstand being outside- brand name of corrugated plastic). People use it to make suitably-sized cages for guinea pigs and rabbits (pet store cages are way too small).

Guinea pigs can be cuddly, you just have to handle them every day, like most pets you want to be social. They do best in pairs and are very adorable :)
