If Castiel, in his current incorporeal state, could feel human emotions, then he would be feeling anxiousness at this precise moment in time.
The woman he was supposed to be watching over was conducted drastic move after drastic move. She saw only what she wanted to see. The other pilot, a man whom she had recently had an affair with, was calling her name through the communication devices.
She had not responded, her concentration fully focused on the Heavy Raider she believed to be seeing. The woman was going to die with the forcefulness of the winds that whipped around outside of her ship.
But she was not ready.
His Father needed her to be.
And that was why Castiel was there.
A piece of debris hit the canopy of her ship causing the woman to fall unconsciousness.
Here was his moment.
To help her.
To convince her that she was something more.
She was everything that the Cylon had told her to be true.
He could not be able to appear to her in his true form. He did not know if she was capable of withstanding his true sight.
She was unconscious and he knew the form he had to take. The form he knew she may follow.
That of the Cylon.

“You're not Leoben.”
Castiel was impressed by the intelligence the woman had.
“Never said I was.”
And he knew he was not the one she had wanted there.
A Cylon trick.
But no, she wanted the real thing to be there.
To help her.
To be her guide.
She had no idea that the Cylon was an agent of the Lord and she was an angel blazing with the light of God; eager to lead her people home.
