Hmm... that's an interesting idea, but it would wind up in a whole lot of big bang participants knowing what other writers are writing. The bigbang is supposef to be a surprise. There's no rule against participants betaing for other participants or alpha reading or participating in a feeback filter, but doing it as an organized challenge seems a bit like letting the cat out of the bag, so to speak
( ... )
For the daily writing challenge, can you consider raising the minimum word count goal? This was really good for motivating me to write, but I'm afraid I'll choose the bare minimum again as long as it's an option. Some days, I wrote just barely 100 words.
Sure, what minimum would you loke to have? It's always tough to find a balance between setting the bar low enough that people won't get scared off (and will often write a lot more than they planned) and setting the bar high enough that a lot of people either don't sign up becaise they don't think they can do it, or sign up and "fail" and then get discouraged.
We don't want to do either of those. So what do you think would be a big enough number to be challenging, but small enough to not scare you away or set you up to fail?
I'm hoping to participate in the next challenge now that my meanttobe is done. Unfortunately, I have no worthwhile opinion to offer LOL!! Just consider me as an interested participant, going with the flow ;-)
