Am I the only BB writer sitting with my laptop/desktop/tablet or phone both eagerly and nervously awaiting the spn_j2_bigbang artist claim posts going live??? Am refreshing my friends page every few minutes just in case the posts open a little bit early

You are so, so not alone. Whittling my wish list down to three favorites (and then ranking those!) was incredibly difficult this year, but at least this way I have plenty of choices I would be MORE than happy with if my first attempt doesn't take.

I'm an author so am not so calmly waiting for my little fic to be claimed. I know it will be picked, if not this round then the next, but the waiting is pure torture and so not good for my nerves.

Congrats on getting your first choice. I absolutely love your work, so I know your author is very, very lucky.

Thanks!!! However, the nail chewing will continue right through edits and rewrites and then posting and then waiting to see if anyone actually reads the damn thing and comments. So I've got months of worry ahead of me.

Tell me again, WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING when I signed up for this??? But I am loving the journey and already planning on putting myself through it all over again next year.

I cleared the first draft of all the different colored paragraphs, comment bubbles and barely sensical scene snippets. Which I currently am working back in (And out again. Simultaneously, oh joy.), so I know what you're talking about :).
But the panic is tinged with exaltation, I hope? I for example am switching between headdesking and grinning crazily at the world in general. This whole big bang experience is screwing with me in such a delightful way.

Most importantly though: Congrats on being picked! Yay!!!

I was super nervous about the whole claiming thing too! I'm hoping to come at it from the author side next year and I'm sure that will be even more nerve wracking!

There really were so many amazing summaries!I just hope I can make my author happy! All of you authors have my utmost respect! I wouldn't want to disappoint!
