Wednesday night was one of the most insane things.
I can hear you laughing from here. NGL, I wouldn't be surprised if you could because I was cackling. :D I would have been cool with a playoff between the two, but both games being tied on the last strike, then ending 3 minutes apart was pretty damn epic.(I'm waiting for karma to bite me, probably from the Rays knocking out the Yankees or something.)
Congrats on Reyes, btw! I hope the Mets can resign him :)
I was trying so hard to update the post, and then realizing I couldn't double-strikethrough (double-strikethrough needs to be a thing) made me delay and then I was trying to watch and it all happened at once and ahhhhhhhh. Perfect. I wish I had known how crazy it was going to be so I could tell all my non-baseball-fan friends "LOOK. THIS IS EXCITING AND IMPORTANT." Of course, now I have to cheer against the Yankees on principle, but best of luck this postseason. :D
Also, let's not forget the Twins, too, who won to avoid a 100-loss season!
I was so happy for Jose. ♥ It's a shame the Mets didn't make it into the postseason because it would have been interesting to see if Reyes would stay on top or if Braun would have come back (combined stats or separate or whichever). As for resigning him (I am so scared), I think with K-Rod and Beltran gone, the Mets will be able to afford him. I hope he gets a nice long contract and steals bases for us until he's forty.
