Day 99, Noon

Feb 14, 2013 00:59

Right from when Yuuri woke up, he had a bad feeling about the day. Not from some ability to sense the future, but rather a physical bad feeling. Something unpleasant was going on with his stomach. The same went for his head, but he could blame stress for that one. He'd been in this new world only for a few days, and already someone knew his secret ( Read more... )

Gunter had a rather good night. He got some use out of that dress and slept rather well. But he did need to get up and so something - that didn't involve eating all the cookies he managed to spot in the hallway between where he slept and his own room. He threw on a pair of slacks and didn't quite bother to button his shirt at the moment before loosely pulling up his hair and heading out to at least wander a bit before hitting the baths.

There were far too many cookies and cakes about. He hadn't eaten yet and wanted something a bit more substantial. He hoped that today wasn't going to be a sweets only type of day.

Though, there was something sweet in the hall that had nothing to do with baked goods and that was something sweet he did like to indulge in. She didn't look very happy as he caught up to her. But it was a Yuuri, and now his interest in trying to capture her attention was a little more than usual. "A beautiful girl as yourself shouldn't make such an expression. Are you unwell?"

Yuuri drew back a little as he saw the unfamiliar man. Was everyone in this world so beautiful, or did he just have bad luck? (Was only partially dressing their custom, too?) He felt severely uncomfortable standing next to someone like this. He moved his hand to grip his other elbow defensively.

"Um," he started, staring intently at the ground, "I- I'm okay. It's nothing to trouble yourself over, Sir...?" If Mazoku ruled in this world, he definitely couldn't afford to be rude. He was probably speaking to more royalty. Otherwise he might have just fled at the compliment, which was really undue, especially from someone like this.

"Nonsense. I can't ignore such a face." Which was true, it wasn't anything he'd allow himself to pass by. An innocent type AND looked like the one he lusted after so many many many years ago? It was like someone was offering him a delightful gift.

"And there isn't any need for formalities. Gunter will suffice. I can safely assume that you do not belong to this place either? I can show you to the infirmary if you aren't feeling well or provide company if you would prefer." He would have reached out to lightly touch her arm, but she was so closed in and defensive - she was going to be a nice challenge.

Was there something about his face? It seemed pretty average for him. He bit his lip and stayed quiet about that, though. Ignoring any flattery until it stopped would probably work well enough. He didn't really know a good way to deal with it, and he could hardly think straight like this.

"A- alright, Gunter, then..." Oh, so he wasn't from this world, either. He hesitantly glanced back up at him. "I'm not from here, no... Um, I'll be okay." Maybe not so okay, but he didn't want to go to the infirmary if at all possible. "I was just hoping to get something to eat, to settle my stomach."

Anissina shrugged and set the spare cookies back on another surface while they went towards the kitchens. When she opened the door, she was none surprised to see baked goods everywhere, but almost was amused at who she also saw in the room. "Well Wolfram, it doesn't seem like we have to search hard for Gunter. I can only assume the lady with her back to us is the double you are concerned with."

It could be Yuuri. It certainly looked to be her. And Gunter! He felt his temperature spike. At least they were in a public space. "Come on," he growled.

He marched over to the table to stand between Yuuri and Gunter, and leveled a hard look at Gunter, before turning his attention to the girl. "He isn't bothering you, is he?"

Yuuri was about to make a simple answer to Gunter when he heard someone approaching. What he did not expect was an upset looking Wolfram and a lady he didn't recognize. Maybe upset wasn't the right word. He didn't really understand what was happening all of a sudden.

"Eh?" he blinked, looking between Wolfram and Gunter. "No...?" It was just a fairly normal conversation, after all. Even if he didn't like talking much, he wasn't going to say that.

Gunter sighed. "Wolfram, I think you're being a little over dramatic. Why don't you join us if you're so worried about me." He noticed Anissina lingering behind, looking slightly amused at the whole matter. From his conversation with Yuuri, he suspected she didn't know Anissina. "Yuuri, obviously you know Wolfram, but this woman is Anissina, which I mentioned earlier."
