Day 89: Morning. Ken's cell.

Mar 25, 2012 18:59

Wolf had spent another restless night. He was starting to feel better and more himself and he could feel his maryoku returning. It was still a bit weak, but with more rest he was sure it would get stronger in another day or so. He had been somewhat annoyed when he went to see Ken and was told Ken was sleeping. They needed to do better with giving ( Read more... )

Ken was awake. Had been awake for a while. He'd slept well, and all the way through the night. The three bottles Gunter had left behind - the oil and two sleep aids - he hid under his bed, in the farthest corner, so they could not be seen unless one were to get on the floor and peek under. It was a wonder what one night of good sleep could do. His mind was a bit sharper, more clear. Things in the Sage's writings he didn't quite grasp before were starting to make sense. And he felt... better.

For once, he was finishing his breakfast (and actually awake to recieve it) when he heard the knock at the door. "I'm awake," he called back. "Come in." He went back to reading, hoping to finish the page he was on at least.

Wolf came in looking refreshed and cheerful, “Good Morning.” He responded. He had a small basket under his arm. He had no reason to think it was anything but, so he was simply glad to be feeling better himself.

“Would you like to stretch your legs a little?” He inquired. The bandage was gone from his jaw but the small scar was there. It would heal quickly though and fade just as quickly.

Though Ken's mood was improved, it was a far cry from cheerful. He sighed as he reached the end of his page. "Are you going to be like this the whole time?"

He put a marker in the book before closing the cover and pushing it across the desk. He turned to Wolf and crossed his arms, noting the basket curiously. It seemed the other was incapable of visiting without bringing something with him. "If it doesn't get me killed." He nodded to the basket. "What's that?"

"If you come with me, you'll find out." Wolf smirked, refusing to answer. He leaned in the doorway, which was partially open. "No one will see you. Its a controlled area. Or shall I leave you to your own mind today?"

He did look pretty absurdly cheerful and offered another bribe.. "If you do come, I'll bring you another bath later." The words were innocent, of course, since Wolf had no idea what had gone on in Murata's cell.

He flipped his hair back and offered his best annoyingly confident look.
