Day 72 to day 73 Campsite

Apr 11, 2011 21:41

The Princess had agreed to Yuuri’s request. Just as expected, it would take time to get things sorted and ready for moving and because of that they would have to make camp. The Salamander had remained, surprisingly and looked to the Princess for direction. She spoke with him kindly but firmly and for some strange reason he did as she requested. ( Read more... )

Yuuri had talked with the princess, he was glad she was able to make good with the salamander tribe member and seeing the agreement he had with her only made his resolve to try to further understand the salamander tribe. He felt the princess truly wanted to have her chance to talk to the humans so he knew she wouldn't try anything hasty. He felt for the most prt safe. Especially since the smell wasn't heading there way.

"You can relax," Yuuri said, making his way over to Wolfy once everything was settled. He knew the other must be mad, he also knew that Wolfy his his hurt alot better then Wolfram did. Which made noticing it so much harder. "Your not mad are you?"

“Of course I’m mad!!” Wolf retorted and crossed his arms. He lifted his chin and tossed his head which caused his curls to fluff in that way Murata loved to adore.

He turned slightly as if to ignore Yuuri. “You might have been hurt! It was reckless and stupid! You didn’t even bring Morgif with you. We had no idea what we were going to find."

He was clearly not enjoying standing up but he was too stubborn to sit.

"If I had brought Morgif you might of known it was me, beside with the way things turned out do you think my other self would of been very good at talking to the princess?" He was horrified to think of the things his other self might of said. Especially seeing as how beautiful the princess was.

"I'm not hurt, you are." Yuuri smiled weakly, reaching out to put his hand on Wolfys arm. He tried coaxing the other to sit down. "Everyone else is heading to bed, you should too. You don't have to be stubborn if your hurt."

“Hmph!” Wolf sighed and the light pressure on his arm finally got him to relent and sit down on one of the nearby tree-stumps. He didn’t like sitting on the stump and eventually sort of slid to the ground and leaned back against it.

He had packed overnight gear on his horse. So there was a small tent, a bedroll and extra blanket just in case.

The tents were all near the fire and there were guards patrolling the parameter. A few beads of sweat trickled down his neck. “I should have known it was you.” He scowled, now understanding why Gunter had been so overprotective. "I'm not hurt, it's just been a long day." he lied. He'd been on the go since dawn even before the stones went missing. He'd been at work.

"Yuuri... oh Shinou's balls, it's useless. You'll always be reckless!" he glared. "Do you have any idea how many people are probably worried about you by now? They must be throwing fits at the castle."

Gunter, still only really dressed from the waist down wore a neutral expression and nodded at the guard. He was rather impressed with her appearance as he stepped inside. First of all, it was a rather large tent, but this was her area, and of course they'd be better supplied.

"If I may, I wanted to tell you that you look rather beautiful, despite the situation. I know that the maou is naive, but he means well. Personally, I find it disappointing that he doesn't necessarily favor the mazoku over humans, but he does frown upon violence, so in some respect, I think he just wants a harmonious world. Such naivite, yet, I believe he can succeed." Though the eradication of pure breeds on both sides makes the future rather disappointing. And there isn't anything he should say about that. Not to her, at least.

Whether or not she was pleased by the compliment was not immediately obvious. She simply nodded. "You may."

"My people cannot afford nativity. This kind of mistake poisons us. There need to be laws and rules to keep humans from destroying our lands if we are to live near or with each other in peace."

She gestured towards a comfortable looking selection of throw pillows. "You seem to understand our cause and do you also understand why we must use shock to get results in such a political climate?"

He accepted the pillows with a soft nod. "I understand your cause well. To think of a future where such alliances with humans may endanger the mazoku race as a whole is a terrifying thought, however, I do need to wonder why shock needed to be the first step. Simply asking for an audience would have allowed you an open forum to explain the situation, and he would have lent a sympathetic ear regardless."

Ah, he was being too much like his former self. He really needed to stop that. But it wasn't like he could just waltz in and find her ready and willing. These things took some work! "Our other concern lies with the salamander. That tribe has a rather intense history, but it's one we don't wish to see repeated." Yuuri wouldn't like them eating the humans and as he made clear, anything happening to the salamander. And Gunter thought it was a waste of a nice girl, regardless of race.

"I do not trust this boy King to be wise enough to listen without his full attention." The Princess stated flatly. "We are well aware of the Salamander's history, that is why we used them. They are dying out, and will do so no matter what happens because of how they must procreate as no females are born to their race. I sympathize in their desire to live on. In the past ages, no one would have cared whether or not they ate a human or what they chose to do to it."

She seemed rather pointedly referring to humans as 'it'.

"They will listen to us." She also used the royal 'we'. "Though I cannot say for certain how long."

She offered him some wine in a generous glass.

New Thread: Dawn at the Camp. wolf_kkm April 17 2011, 02:28:12 UTC
Wolf had spent the rest of the night curled up in Yuuri’s arms. He’d slept all the way through and done nothing more than that. Dawn was breaking when he woke and he was still there feeling warm and loved. The first thing that came to mind wasn’t Yuuri, however, it was Ken Murata. He always woke up in Ken’s arms, held tightly. And so, he was poised to pounce for his good morning kiss when his eyes fluttered open and then flew open and he suddenly remembered who he was with. “Eh...” He started to ease out of Yuuri’s grip ( ... )

"Just a few more minutes, Wolfram." Yuuri waved his hand to try brushing Wolfys calls aside. He was still half asleep, but when the badgering wouldn't go away he became more aware of why exactly Wolfram was hovering over him. Or for that matter Wolfy.

"Huh?" He sat up quickly, looking around as if expecting something terrible had happened. Why was Wolfy waking him up so harshly? The look on the blond boys face reminded him of a face Wolfram would often wear. It wasn't something he expected Wolfy to show. "What's wrong?" Yuuri asked.

He wondered what time it was, it was still pretty early but despite that he could hear the sound soldiers already preparing to leave.

"My ankle." Wolf sighed. Yuuri's reaction made him realize he was being far too harsh. He forced a smile in spite of the pain. "Good Morning, sorry for waking you up like that."

It hurt so much at this point, he wasn't sure if he could pull the boot off. "I don't think." his scowl turned into a pout. "I don't know if I can ride."

His smile to Yuuri was sincere though, "Thank you for last night. It meant a lot."

"Stubborn," Yuuri sighed, reaching over to force Wolfy to sit back down. "If your foot hurt so much you should of said so from the start...we could of prevented it from getting worse."

Last night quickly came back to him, his face letting Wolfram know with the red that showed. "Even if I can't remember all of what I did, your welcome. I'm glad I could help, you kind of helped me to." In some way he must have.

"You can ride with me or Gunter, or whoever you'd like. There's no need to push yourself." Yuuri offered him a smile. He was worried about the other, if he was willing to admit he was hurt it must be bad.
