Um... "pertaining to geographic distribution of life on Earth before the last Ice Age"...?

It seems a slightly awkward, over-academic term in English, but wouldn't that construction be fairly normal in German?

The construction itself would indeed be normal in German! Sticking so many Greek terms together, however, is over-academic even in German terms. XD
