I suspect it would certainly have traces of colonial heritage. My question would be more along the lines of how pervasive the caste system would be? Would that be their equivalent of pureblood mania? How would they deal with the different languages spoken in India? Do they have spells that are unique to India or even South-east Asia?
Yeah, that keeper seems to have jumped off his broom in his eagerness to catch the Quaffle. XD
It's always sad when that happens. I completely understand it - it sometimes takes me three years or more to pick up my own fandom projects again - but it's still terribly unsatisfying from the fannish perspective. :/
I recall that Avanti90 started a fic featuring Padma Patil as the heroine and making more of her Indian background. But that is not quite what you want, I think--it was fairly dark, not cheerful like the Quidditch photos!
It's not quite what I'm looking for, but it still sounds interesting. The fic could be fairly dark too (not GRIMDARK dark, but it doesn't have to be all happy), just not set in the familiar British setting.

(So would a wizarding school in India be part of the colonial heritage? I SUSPECT SO. Oh dear.)

I was rather sad that the shoebox project just kind of petered out without resolution.

Sorry to hear you got sick; hope you're on the mend now!

Still slightly sick, but not as violently as it was yesterday. So yes, on the mend, thank you!
