As befits the summer solstice, the Bergian has found back to its usual shape and greeted the day with heavy rains.
(At least it's warm and the sun (what sun?) won't set before 10 pm?)

I didn't blog about the Temeraire books, which is neglectful of me. I think I did all my complaining in blog comments (most of my flist went through it last year.) In short: author's fanfic is better.

Also, I didn't know you were into that sort of thing. ;)

I am if it's well written, and my only gripes with this one - His Majesty's Dragon, at any rate, I haven't read the rest yet - were firstly that I always get confused when a male dragon has a name like Celeritas or Levitas (which are feminine words in Latin), but as native speakers of English tend to have trouble with that as a rule, I figure that's intentional; and that one time she used "asked inquisitively", which is a wee bit redundant, isn't it. So that's all good. ;)
