[Oliver can be seen standing just outside the holo-suite, leaning against a wall to keep more of his weight off the knee that's still in a brace. he's grinning widely] Doctor! Would you believe it, it was outside the holo-suite this time! And ohhh, everybody, you're gonna want to see this. [fiddles with his sphere for a moment before it ( Read more... )

[he makes a face after he's viewed that. he was just making his rounds in the main bay when Ollie's transmission started] More trustworthy? The whole matter's suspicious; it just shows Orion knew something was going on.

Well, he was trying to do something about it, too!

At that point in time, yes. But he was just playing the good little soldier and reporting things through proper channels. And obviously, those proper channels couldn't care less. Besides, we're nowhere near the Sol System, not even in the right section of the universe! [or so he maintains, not recognising any part of it, much to his annoyance.] I'm far more interested in that oversight Ganymede supposedly made.

Didn't he just mean the fact that the captain was ignoring all the suspicious bits?

You sure Orion's trustworthy too? I don't trust either of them.

Not sure, no, but he sure seems better than the captain.

Hn. If you say so. But how's this gonna help us? We know he didn't get along with his old man, but that's it.

We also know the captain was definitely hiding something--something that required a lot of security.

Maybe this ship was built to transport something in secret.

That's an interesting idea. Something scientific, you think?

Well, something they didn't want to get stolen or intercepted. They're quite insistent on the point that the defenses for the ship are far stronger than they should be. Defenses, not offensive weaponry.

That's a good point. I think you're right, and I get the feeling, whatever it is, it's gotta be the cause of at least some of this mess.

It would appear that there was more conflict between the two then was previously shared. It may be more dangerous dealing with Orion. Perhaps we should turn out attention instead to dealing solely with the Captain.

Why do you think that?

There was a great deal of conflict between them, each one vying for power. They both have agendas and I would rather stick with the one that has control over our lives, than the one who seems only suitable at angering that very same person.

Ah...you've got a point there. But Orion seems to be the only one we can get any real information out of--and he's the one who wants to help us.

When I spoke with Orion, he said that he hadn't been able to reason with the Captain, seeing this, I'm not terribly surprised.

As for everything that was happened, I'm willing to believe that it was planned, but by whom? The Captain wasn't too pleased with that other pair, perhaps it was their plan.

You're right; I didn't think of that. Unless he sabotaged something because of a conflict with them? No, that doesn't exactly make sense, does it? I wish we'd seen more, or at least heard what they were saying.

He didn't seem comfortable with the idea at all, and he has to cover for them here, in this conversation. I'd say that if something went wrong, it wasn't the Captain's fault, he's too busy trying to keep people from finding out about whatever the others are doing.

Maybe... But really, if the three of them didn't get along, any one of them could have caused some sort of problem--on purpose or otherwise.
