Yeh, I never post here...I'm not the type of person who is open with his feelings, but when something pisses me off...I feel I need to share it with everybody. This 25-year-old guy in Florida was stabbed to death and left on the side of the road to die. The reason he was stabbed echoes the reason Matthew Shepard was murdered: because he made a move ( Read more... )

I completely agree with you Rob. Everyone is someone's child. All of the hatred and all of the violence people harbor and for what? It doesn't make any sense. It's just terrible.

bleh. the death penalty in new york hasn't been abolished, it has been declared unconstitutional. if anyone is to be blamed, blame it on the activist judges. anyway, those perps need to be taken into some dark alley and shot thru the back of their head.

Oh lord.

"Activist judges" = judges who have issued a ruling I disagree with.

It was "activist judges" who also saw the absurdity in Bowers v. Hardwick and overturned it, thus ensuring that gays and lesbians would no longer be discriminated against using the underhanded "well sodomy is illegal, and you must necessarily commit sodomy, so therefore you are a criminal and can be denied X rights."

Time and time again studies show the death penalty accomplishes nothing in the way of deterrence and, if anything, simply lowers society to the same level as the criminals it is punishing. At worst, it mistakenly punishes the innocent.

The phrase "activist judges" makes me literally see red whenever I see it so please educate yourself.

lol, you know, i make statements like this because it really boils the left's blood. honestly, i think "activist judges" are usually a good thing. seriously though, what does society's intolerance of anything different (than their own distorted view of what's normal) have anything to do with bush/republicans? ... and speaking of intolerance, read my recent lj posting > http://jameskirk.livejournal.com/92674.html

Huh? How does a shallow rating system compare with legislating intolerance, which was the point I made above? That is how intolerance is directly associated with Bush and Republicans, since you ask. If you think these things are comparable, there is no hope for you.
