the receptive reviewer must have felt as an afterthought that he had given the movie too much respect. I suppose he could not find anything/anyone but Yoda to vent out his criticism - after all he needed to live upto his name as a critic!
Quite hilarious - Bradshaw's review that is. I'm yet to watch this one, am actually waiting for Hitchiker's Guide to release here. I hear mixed reviews - some saying they have killed the book, others saying it's worth a watch for fans of Adams atleast:). Gotta see it meeself:).
It's not out yet - releases May 19th I think. I think the reviewers get an advance preview showing of the movie..

Haven't yet had a chance to see it - mostly for a paucity of company, most of the people in Amherst seem to think it's going to be a let-down if you've read the books. But, the casting seems pretty good (Alan Richman, Stephen Fry, the guy from the 'Office'). I've heard mixed reviews too, mmk an old friend and fellow hitch-hiker, below loved it - so, will def. go decide for myself sometime soon..
Hope work goes fine
I hope so too ;) Thanks for the wishes.. Hopefully will get a little more time this summer to focus on getting stuff done..
Defence is a long ways away..oldhenMay 15 2005, 06:29:54 UTC
Sorry if the post was misleading.. It's the season for people to defend, my first batchmate defended a year back, the first juniors are starting to defend - age is starting to catch up..

yes been there, seen that.my MS thesis took the best part of 1.5 - 2 years and seeing an entire batch of juniors go (along with some batchmates) can only leave one with a feeling of being stuck in time while the world moves past you in rapid speed mode. Keep working, friend - the toughest years hold you in good stead.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement, mate.. It's more like "Start Working" actually, haven't really been doing any work for a while now, really need to get off my behind and do something - soon..

Alright, alright, I know it's a valid word, it's just a little officious sounding, sort of like using "relevancy" as opposed to the perfectly acceptable "relevance"..
So, is Lucas using it as a Robert Jordan reference, or is RJ paying tribute to Star Wars? (chicken and egg problem for the sci-fi / fantasy world)
