By the way, we also decided to find a roommate.  This isn't so much for the money but rather because we live in such a big house.  Of course, the problem is finding someone whose idiosynchrosies either match or complement ours

Most of those ads are fake... you'll probably notice they ask the same like 10 or so questions...

Yeah, I've been wondering about that. What's that all about and why do they do it?

Is it some sort of scam?

I am not really sure... I guess they use it for informational services for the area...

When i was trying to get my ex a new roommate when we broke up... I got a million of those things...
