Wow. EOD, that's big. Any idea why he wants that? All I can say is, take a deep breath. It's not as scary as it seems. It IS scary, especially for something like EOD, but (especially with a vivid imagination like yours) it's easy to think of how things can go badly if he goes over. So just breathe, and try to remember that odds are, he'll be ok.

Or with any luck, he'll change his mind and you'll have all of next summer to explore whatever there is to explore.

(Olive Garden = <3 )

I'm not really sure why he's interested in EOD. I think he likes the black and white of it. But yeah, it's just scary to think about everything that could happen, even if I know it probably won't.

Olive Garden was such fun! Unlimited breadsticks FTW! ♥

Hey, just wanted to say that I've been following your lj for quite a while now and I'm really enjoying every bit of it even though I usually do NOT understand anything about livejournal.com lol. I've also read all your House fics (which are awesome by the way) and hope you write some more sometime soon.

Anyway I also wanted to tell you that I think you're right: it doesn't matter if people think your relationship with The Boyfriend is weird, as long as it works for the both of you.

And I really hope your army friend will be okay. My cousin is in Afghanistan right now so I know how worried you must be. I hope everything works out all right for you.

Ugh, I've had a comment typed out forever, and it disappeared. :( I'm hoping by now you feel a little better about all this. I can't even really imagine how much that must have upset you - I'm not close to anyone personally who chose to join the army when there's a possibility of going to Iraq/Afghanistan or anywhere dangerous, really. I'm glad at least your relationship with your boyfriend works for you! I always figured I'd be the jealous type with an arrangement like that, no matter how much I'd try not to be lol. Does your boyfriend go to your school? But you don't live near each other during the summer? I hope at least you guys are together now and you're feeling better... :/ *hugs*

I really appreciate you commenting. I do certainly feel better, and it turns out this is no longer a sure thing. He is going to Palestine to teach English instead of joining the military, at least at this point, though that may again change.

My boyfriend does go to my school, and now that we're back together, everything from the summer seems a little ridiculous, in sort of a "that was fun but obviously you're the one I want" sort of way. :)
