[ Circus Carnivore was a beacon of light shrouded by shadows. Eerie violin music played and the red carpet appeared welcoming all the audience. When Kyoya's presence would be noticed, the tune was mean to change into a march and another door would be opened for him to enter.

A door that led him to a great hall with a table full of asymmetrical chairs and a sweet banquet served. ]

[ Curiouser and curiouser. What a refined, lavish display lay before him... And how much it felt like he was stepping further and further into the mouth of the rabbit hole, and all the more obvious once he'd stumbled in.

He felt he had reason to be curious - if someone you can't remember states that they know you it was hard to resist the temptation to question them. But he was attempting to be cautious as well. Just because they claimed to know him, claimed to be on friendly terms didn't mean that was necessarily the case. Still, benefit of the doubt and all that.
