April smiles. "It's okay. Black sand is not necessary to my enjoyment." She pauses. "It's probably safe to swim, right?"

Because it's been way too long since she got to go swimming.

"Ah, this is true. At least I got you to sand and water in the same area, there are days when I consider this in itself an impressive feat."

Looking around yet again, he shrugs. "I'd think so, there aren't any signs or anything saying otherwise and the water doesn't appear rocky or anything." However,it did seem a bit choppy that day but nothing that would be too much cause for alarm. Not yet anyway.

April doesn't mind choppy. They went to Hawaii once when she was 13 - she still doesn't know why her parents even bothered taking her, but she's glad they did - and she learned to surf. She probably couldn't do it anymore, but it made her fall in love with the ocean.

April squeaks happily and ducks behind a corner to change. "Don't you dare look while I'm changing!" she calls. Not that she thinks he will, just habit.

He laughs, shaking his head. "Don't worry," he tells her as he takes off his coat and shifts few things into his pants pockets. He's not particularly big on the whole water thing, so he's got not plans to run around getting wet but he does lik
e the beach. That and he knows it would be rather silly to run around in a waistcoat on one, not that it ever stopped him before but y'know.

When she's fully changed, he takes the first few steps out of the TARDIS, taking a deep breath and grinning. "There's something so wonderful about the smell of the ocean," he says. The ground however seems to disagree (or maybe it agrees just a little too whole-heartedly and gives a tremble beneath his feet.

"...Well, that wasn't quite expected."
