I'm only about halfway through right now, but OMG. BERTIE AND GENEVIVE ARE SO CUUUUUUTE. So like, she's totally gonna die or something. Same for Thack and Abbey.

i think genevieve (and bertie) are safe. they're the light in an otherwise dark show. abbey on the other hand, something is def going to go terribly wrong if/when she gets another nose job. my money is on her dying tbh, and i'm upset b/c i really like her! she's so sweet.
this episode was equal parts adorable and SO FUCKING UPSETTING. i'm so glad algernon has opal in his corner because folks are fucking with him and i can't stand it (FUCK mrs. robertson). also, was that lucy's foot in homie's mouth? is that how she paid for the dress?
bertie and geneieve and harry and cleary were perfect.
Yeah, I assumed Lucy got the dress money from working for Ping (and I guess we finally have the answer to what she did to get that opium for Thack last season). Guuuuurl. Look at your life, look at your choices.
Bertie and Genevieve are so precious omg. When Bertie came out in his top hat and towel I was cackling and then it was so cute when she explained that her uncle was a furrier and then they started giggling.
Everyone else is a fucking mess. The blackface act was absolutely horrifying. I've never liked Lucy as a character so I'm finding her whole "I'm gonna use my sexuality to get what I want" schtick really gross and boring. That foot-fetishist scene with Ping? No thank you.
Algie continues to get kicked around for no reason. :(
Abby and Thack are cute but how long before he accidentally kills her while trying to perform cosmetic surgery and then relapses?
On a final note I really hated the smash-cuts in this ep. Instead of feeling effective they felt more like they didn't have enough coverage and were cobbling the footage together as best they could.
yeah, very inelegant smash-cuts this episode. at the start of the episode when they jumped from edwards to cornelia was v jarring and not in the Cool way.

I had hopes for her after her talk with Harriet earlier this season and her wanting to be a doctor but instead we've gotten this generic femme fatale stuff :(
"Yeah, like I know my father is creeping on you. But like... money and stuff, so... Just do what he says and make me happy."
aaaugh. I'm so worried for her. She's finding out that her father is in a bad financial situation and now she's going to have the conflict of doing what is right in turning her father in for his shady business practices vs the financial ruin of her family.
