yesss, i've been waiting!

this episode was equal parts adorable and SO FUCKING UPSETTING. i'm so glad algernon has opal in his corner because folks are fucking with him and i can't stand it (FUCK mrs. robertson). also, was that lucy's foot in homie's mouth? is that how she paid for the dress?

Mamma Robertson is such a fucking turd. Opal is so great and important and I'm beyond stoked that Edwards is beginning to properly appreciate her sticking up for him and having his back in all the ways that a person like him trying to succeed in a white man's world needs. If the writers throw her under the bus at any point I'll be so livid! I hope we get to her own pursuits soon, with Edwards supporting her.

Still kinda miss Algie/Neely though. She fucked up marrying that one dude. Now she's a prisoner of circumstance and a bargaining chip. My girl could be in Paris rn with a beautiful baby and a man who respects and values her. She needs something good to happen soon.
