Maybe I'm naive about Russia's commitment to enforcing this law, but I think putting on a good show and gaining the world's admiration to them will be more important during the Games. My prediction is that they'll turn a blind eye to any protests, demonstrations, etc. by athletes. I don't know if gay visitors or Russian natives will be as safe, though.
