Yes, I love him, but he really has almost no chance of a third Olympics. The judges vastly underscored him at the last Olympics to put him in 7th place, and even if he was totally fit (which he isn't), the US Federation wouldn't send him again. They make no bones about their dislike of him for refusing to pretend to be straight and tell the media he only became a figure skater by accident because he REALLY wanted to be a hockey player but had a huge crush on all the girls in short skirts he saw at the rink (the standard story that EVERY male figure skater in North America is required to feed the media, LOL).
I'm going to save you some time: He's not making that team. He doesn't know how to construct programs that actually matter in terms of scoring, plus there more guys who are better than him right now. Evan has a better chance, even it's not big at all.

I think US men only have 2 spots this year because of how they placed at world's last year and yeah. I don't think Johnny is going to make it.
