What? TMJ surgery is completely unrelated to any cosmetic procedure.

I'd really like a nose job.

SAME. i should be getting health insurance soon (i'm not covered now) and i really hope that it would be covered. my boobs aren't insanely big but they're too big for me! i'm a DD and about 5'5 and 140 lbs. i constantly have red marks on my shoulders from my bra straps and as i saw someone said in this thread, i have divets in my shoulders too! i hate it.

srsly. i've had that surgery, and they don't even go near your fucking chin fat.

did the surgery help you? i have bad tmj cause my whole jaw is misaligned (naturally, not because of grinding my teeth or anything). my doctor and dentist both say it's expensive and not very effective, so i'll probably have to just live with it. but i haven't heard many testimonials, so i'm interested how yours helped/didn't help.

My jaw was also misaligned naturally, so I probably had something similar to yours. I had it when I was 15 and I'm 22 now, and my jaw has relapsed significantly, which I didn't realize could happen when I got it. I wouldn't do it if I were you, tbh, unless you're in a lot of pain. '

I had a great doctor, and the surgery/healing/etc were not that bad at all, but since everything has gone back about 3/4 of the way to what it used to be, it just doesn't seem worth it.

Just live with it. The surgery will only exacerbate your problems and add scar tissue. Don't do it. Seriously. Like the other poster said, your jaw will go back the way it was - they don't tell you this before hand. So you just have to learn to live with it.

He's not saying they're related. He's saying since he already had to be under for the TMJ surgery, that he went ahead and had a cosmetic procedure done.
