'Sacked for being a woman': Nicollette Sheridan files new lawsuit papers against Desperate Housewive

Ex-Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan has claimed she was sacked from the show ‘for being a woman.’

The star makes the claim in 15 pages of testimony submitted to Los Angeles Superior Court as part of $20 million lawsuit against the show’s creator Marc Cherry and makers ABC.

It was handed over as opposition to a move by Cherry's lawyers

Lawsuits are the embarrassing part about being American. Ugh. Everyone always trying to take what sounds like the easy way to make a bunch of money.

You were fired for being a woman even though the main cast of women have remained the same since the beginning...

Cherry never put her in the opening title shot, I think he always intended her to be a supporting character (which he could dispose of at anytime) while she thought she was a main player. She was probably fired because they couldn't get along not because she was a woman.

When the show finally gets canceled we'll see if any of the leading ladies change their tune about Cherry/Sheridan.

Well the show is centered around the first 4 and even though Edie originally wasnt suppose to last the entire 1st season she did and was just as needed as the other 4 in the end imo.

In terms of storyline ia. I liked Edie. I used to only watch for Edie, Bree & Gabby. But even when Edie started dating Susan's ex it was written that no one wanted to except her into the group. Marc Cherry was not having it.
