Have you ever seen The Last Waltz? He performance of Caravan in it is hi-larious, sooo wasted. He just kind of wanders off the stage before he's even done with the song, but yeah, it was back in 1976.

ahah i have! it's fantastic. he just leaves the stage without even saying anything and the band is like, haha, van the man, ladies and gentlemen! but i still love that performance, the last two minutes with the leg kicking and just general craziness. i love it.

Omg the leg kicking, he just kind of gets tired and does this weird arm/fist thrusting thing with a half kick...which is where i go in my head every time i hear caravan, and then people wonder why that song could possibly make me giggle. hahaha, good god van.

I was so excited when he played "Sweet Thing" on Late Nite! Van Morrison is fucking awesome.

Also, I appreciate "Brown Eyed Girl," because it feels like everybody else always writes about blue eyes or green eyes, and dammit, brown eyes deserve some credit!
