Tbh I don’t recall why people don’t like him (besides those that disagree with him), and obviously he has a specific and biased narrative when he makes a doc, but sad how everything he’s blown a whistle on is still an issue today. He’s always been on the right side of history despite being booed and shit on.
"Yes, I condemn murder, and that’s why I condemn America’s broken, vile, rapacious, bloodthirsty, unethical, immoral health care industry and I condemn every one of the CEOs who are in charge of it and I condemn every politician who takes their money and keeps this system going instead of tearing it up, ripping it apart, and throwing it all away."
I've seen Sicko before but rewatched it over the weekend when I saw he had uploaded it for free. I'm in Sweden and our health care isn't perfect (and the current government isn't making it better as they want to privatize more) but it won't fucking bankrupt you at least. I currently pay nothing for health care until June as I have a 'free card' after hitting a specific amount. And when I do pay it's a pretty reasonable amount, and it's the same amount whether I go to therapy or have a doctor look at my fractured elbow. I really hope this whole thing continues to anger people in the US and sparks a health care revolution.
As an American who lives in Sweden, I cannot believe I thought privatized healthcare was a good idea, EVER.
Love your userpic, are you going to the Stockholm show in June? I saw her twice in the US and have waited for her to play here since I moved here so I'm excited for June!

I love his statement. “I definitely condemn that kind of murder.” He went there.
