On another note, I just kind of wonder if she also regrets commenting on it because it may have opened her up to scrutiny around her own personal life at the time. Idk but it’s insane to me that she chose to comment on this at all.

I like this better, I need these celebrities to feel comfortable to keep talking and exposing themselves lol. Maybe fans will learn to stop worshipping them and having parasocial relationships with them (not that anyone had a parasocial relationship with Rebecca Hall lol, but in general). They’re just normal people who are capable of having shitty opinions.

That's why I think actors or celebs who stay out of it are a bit smarter to a degree. Not everyone needs to announce everything. There's celebs who are truly apolitical and there's celebs who are political but not interested in announcing it until the comes or not.
I feel like most celeb activism is 98-99% fake because it's just PR. It didn't take too long for PR agents to read social media and see that they don't celebs to say "if I offended" but "I'm sorry that I offended" like....I think you realize which celebs are sincere vs the ones who clearly did PR.
"I don’t think of myself as an ‘actor-vist’, I’m not that person. And, I kind of regret making that statement, because I don’t think it’s the responsibility of his actors to speak to that situation."I'm not totally bothered by this statement in that she doesn't wanna be an activist-actor or the responsibility of it to a degree. The responsibility part I think she is ( ... )

Truly I'm surprised if an actor isn't as dumb as a box of bricks.

Sometimes I read an actor's wikipedia page and go, "Ohhhh yeeeeah ehhhh."
Sometimes the main qualification to be an actor is to be hot. Oftentimes, actually. A good 80% minimum. Also tall, if you're a man.
Reading someone's wikipedia bio and it says their agent told them to stop playing sports because it might affect their looks when they were still high school aged... Yeah, I read that one the other day haha.
