Woody Allen later said Chammy confessed to Allen's sister that he publicly donated his salary so he could run for an Oscar but that he very much enjoyed working with Allen. Oop.

Oh brother, so dramatic! Actually, Rebecca, I’m not sure everyone was expecting you or anyone else to get out a little gavel & robe and sentence Woody Allen to prison. Actually, what I think people might expect/hope is that collaborative artists choose not to work with men accused by their daughter of CSA. An impossible standard for some, I guess!

She really didn’t need all that word salad when everything is plainly said right there.
And to be fair to her, this mindset is incredibly widespread not just in Hollywood but in the wider professional world and within family and friendship dynamics too, and the reason why abusers everywhere rarely ever get their comeuppance.

If I had listened to other women when they said, "He's a terrible person, avoid him!" and not gotten wrapped up with a certain guy, I'd have been much better off today, but I was like, "He's nice to me, though!"
Turns out he was definitely a terrible person.
And this doesn't just go for situations like this - people can be nice to certain people, but be horrible people at home, or in other situations. Your experience is not the marker for all experiences relating to a certain person. You shouldn't just claim, "But they were always so nice to me!" especially when your relationship is professional only.
