I guess 20k to them is like me leaving 5 Euro unattended on a table in Barcelona

I don’t like either of these people but it’s still really scary that someone could successfully rob their homes. I assume they have good security.

And no I don’t keep cash in my house. We did get a safe after friends of our were robbed, mostly to hold important documents because replacing them would be a pain.

For the last few years there’s been an organized crime ring targeting the homes of Premier League footballers when they knew the footballers had a game to play. It was only a matter of time before American crime rings studied their tactics and copied them. :/ It’s time for all American athletes to beef up security.

Every time we'd hear about another footballer/soccer player's home getting robbed during a game, I wondered why it wasn't happening in the States / when it would start ...

everyone knows when they're out of town, so it's pretty easy to target them.

I'm a worrier, so I do keep some extra water in storage and have been thinking about making a basic emergency kit to keep (not in case of the zombie apocalypse - in which case I'll just go out in the first wave - more in case of like, extended electricity outage or something).

And I know it's smart to keep some cash around just in case, so I've been thinking about having a little bit. But idk I haven't gotten around to it yet. Where do you store it so it feels safe?

$20k is probably nothing to these guys though. Like not even a little dent in their wallets.

They say everyone should have some kind of emergency kit, or go bag, in case of evacuation due to flooding or wildfires.
If you have a vehicle, they recommend keeping a smaller version of the kit there as well, in case there's an evacuation while you're at work or something & can't get back home for the larger kit.

Yeah, it's been in the news occasionally that our government recommends having something like that on hand. I definitely think I want to get some of the basics just to be on the safe side. I mean, it can't really hurt, I'll just put it in my apartment storage.

Well... I had like ~$300 (mainly for buying weed), but my sister bought weed when she was here and venmo'd me for it, so now I have approximately $50. lol

I know you should keep some cash, small bills especially, in the event of an emergency, but I have never had more than like $500 in cash, max.

It's wild that these guys don't have better security.
