I shower every other day because I have such dry skin, but only if I don't work out that day or something. Showering every day in winter is a recipe for my already terrible eczema cracking and bleeding no matter how much I slather myself in lotion after.
I feel this so so much it's a bummer. I do make sure to clean my bits and pits on the days I dont step in the shower though.
My parents were raised in a country where constant running water wasn't a thing for them so I've very much been taught how to stay clean even if that doesn't mean stepping in the shower.
Yeah, I genuinely feel my skin has been far healthier without daily showers. I am a person that doesn't sweat a lot though and tends to have dry skin. I definitely know people who are not like that and feel much more comfortable showering daily.
Imo the amount of bathing you gotta do IS individual (just like hair care) and mostly people should just be considerate of others? Like bathe regularly as needed for your skin type and also before formal events of things where you'll be packed in close with others.
Getting prissy about a specific schedule mostly just hurts people who can't bathe due to circumstances (homelessness, depression, whatever) OR who bathe daily and still get sweaty easily, while doing very little to change the behavior of people who don't care.

I don't wash my hair every day bc I have curly hair. I do bathe every day, though.
Everybody should be washing themselves every day.
