Thinking about how I ended up watching The Bone Collector amuses me.
My Dad was helping a guy run a bar & one day came in and said; "All the guys at the bar are talking about this movie called The Bone Collector & how good it is. We need to rent it."
So we did and the bar guys were right, it was a good movie. That's the only time my Dad suggested a movie to rent & watched it with us.

His 90s movies are the best, tho. Fallen, Preacher's Wife, Bone Collector, Courage Under Fire, Pelican Brief. Even the early 00s movies like Out of Time or Remember the Titans. Man on Fire. Don't trash my taste in your movies, Denzel!

Having seen Gladiator 2 it's a bit of a clunker too (inscriptions on the wall in English in ancient Rome really?) but Denzel is definitely having fun and making the best of it.

Gladiator 2 is probably the worst film of his career lol

He seems to be having fun in it though.

Along with those films mentioned by the OP, he was a film my mom loved so much but I don't think it was well received. It's Virtuosity. It starred Russell Crowe and was a big flop. I remember she took me and my brother to theater to see it.

I'm thankful for all his films even the bad ones since my late mom loved her some Denzel lol, so she would watch any movie he made. I still have all of his DVDs because she loved him so much.

I thought I was the only person who remembered Virtuosity. It was part of a wave of "cyberspace"-type movies, like The Net, Johnny Mnemonic, and Strange Days that came out around that time to cash in on the 90s tech boom.
