Elsbeth is a spinoff of The Good Wife that follows Elsbeth as she moves to NYC and solves murders while often befriending the culprit. The show is on its second season which just aired its first five episodes. The season will return with episode six (“Gold, Frankincense, and Murder”) on 12/5.

Since Mathlock has more at stake than Elsbeth, i prefer watching Mathlock over Elsbeth. Elsbeth is more of a fun magic show.
Similar to their first season, Elsbeth's last episode had the same issue: she leaps straight to the conclusion without giving it a second thought, leaving no space for additional suspects.

I'm finding myself rooting for the killers, and that is not how it's supposed to be.

I wish Jack Davenport had a meatier role in the episode, though. Love him.

I knew I'd enjoy Matlock when the first episode had a ridiculous walk-and-talk scene in an office that clearly isn't big enough to have the conversation go as long as it did. I am very much here for the Boston Legal vibes.

I hate the side story, though, and especially the annoying wizkid child character. What's wrong with just doing a story about professionals in the workplace? I could not be less interested in the family melodrama, it feels so unnecessary.

Yeah the kid annoys me more than anyone on the cast. I’m glad they’ve pulled away from him a bit.

I enjoy Elsbeth but the formula is getting a bit repetitive, still enjoyable though. I'm also watching High Potential and the shows have a lot in common, I recommend both
