I thought she was amazing in The Substance and really enjoyed the movie. I don't know how to explain it but in fiction, sometimes, there's this unhinged vibe that is so characteristically womanly, and I love it every time. When we make everyone look at the ugliest parts of us, which are 99% of the time forced into hiding by the same forces that make us like that in the first place, I love it.

The thing I liked about The Substance is that it was more than what I expected if that makes sense. It was grosser, funnier, sadder, etc. than I thought it would be in ways that I am impressed that trailer didn't give away.

I won’t watch the movie cause I’m not much for horror films, but I’m a Ghost fan forever and will say that she is an absolute sweetheart and I will never forget the day she came over to chat with me at an event and was so kind.

I loved her in the substance, and it’s sad to see she’s still self-conscious when all I could think of was how incredible she looked. But i guess when you show that much of yourself onscreen it’s natural to feel that way.

I loved this movie so much even though it was super gross and I hate body horror.

I also love that the aesthetic was confusing af as noted above. It looks so 80s but there is modern technology so it really fucks up your perception of what era it's supposed to be.

Also the whole time I was watching this all I could think was if I looked like Demi Moore, especially at that age, you wouldn't be able to tell me anything! Like ffs, she is 61! That is not how we are used to seeing a 61 year old look.
