5x9: Revenge is Best Served in Coach Tensions mount between Bronwyn and Lisa.;Todd's frustration grows; Meredith questions Shawn's comments; Whitney and Lisa find some common ground; a fun day at the racetrack.
I was surprised that John's request for an apology to Lisa got downgraded to "Do you feel you should apologize to my wife for using the F word?"
If he had stuck to the original narrative of Justin allegedly getting aggressive, then I could see them continuing this false narrative that Lisa was somehow the victim. But Lisa was dropping FUCKS left and right so I don't get why they were acting like Justin did this horrifying thing of saying the exact same word.
The weird thing is that when he said it, he wasn't directing the word at Lisa. If he had said, "Lisa, you fucking bitch" or "Fuck you, Lisa" then I could see John and Lisa clutching their pearls, but all he said was "Don't call my wife a fucking liar." How is that something that requires an apology?
It does not. They're trying to play this "big guy threatens tiny woman narrative" when she came AT him, yelling insults about his wife
And the thing is, for all her fault, Whitney came very calmly at Lisa, and she asked a question, and Lisa, in classic Lisa, went off, without listening to anything Like she did with Angie, like she did with Bronwyn, like she did with Meredith...
I'm convinced these women all hate Lisa, but since she's the one who brought the franchise to SL they have to bow to her every whim.
Like she is a bad mom, she is a terrible friend and an overall terrible human being.
Lisa is actually the worst. That dinner table chatting with Bronwyn and then throws side dig at Whitney and completely changes course, ugh. That whole coach business is beyond ridic.
the scene with robert jr and his girlfriend/maybe wife was dark. as awful as mary's past is, i do feel for her in this moment because she clearly is scared and doesn't know what to do besides have him at home and not on the street.
not sure how this scene falls in the timeline, but there are several articles starting that he was or currently is in rehab. addiction is really scary especially for someone that young
When it comes to Todd/Bronwyn, I keep going back to "This is how this man acts when there is a whole film crew around and probably multiple takes. I can only imagine what it's like when they are in truly private moments"
I had to bail tbh this episode felt so negative and my patience and tolerance for it is so low. But RHONY also pushed my buttons this week so maybe I’m just in a space.
Lisa, I used to love you. What the hell. Seth? C’mon.
I am really sad that Todd snapped at Bronwyn. Why do I root for men only to be disappointed every time?
