Staying clean has to be a conscious choice you make every single day because YOU want it.

You cannot love someone sober just like you can’t bully them sober. If you could, more people would be sober/stay sober.

It isn’t her or anyone else’s responsibility to keep him clean. If he can’t hold himself accountable it will never work.

This is also why you don’t dive right into another relationship while in recovery, let alone have a second kid. Jesus.

That whole GQ interview was a lot. They basically confirmed what ONTD was saying all along. They had a one night stand and barely knew each other when she got pregnant. They were not even together when the news broke and decided to be a couple just before the child was born.
I don’t care how funny or good looking a guy is. No one is worth putting your life and energy on the line. You only know the version of this person that’s trying to stay sober and holding onto you for that.

Never underestimate the power of wanting someone in the back of your thoughts for a really long time, finally getting them for a minute, and then losing your mind. Them endorphins must have been off the chain!

Olivia says in the interview that the one who was excited and happy was HIM. They don’t straight up mention the decision of keeping the baby but very low key it makes it seem as if he took it as a lifeline. Maybe I’m just reading too much between lines.

I need to accept that I’m weird when it comes to stuff like this because I think it’s fine. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Ideally john never relapses again. Keeping in mind that probably doesn’t happen since people are not perfect.
From there, you would hope that he would he honest if he were to relapse and the drug test would not be necessary.
I think this is merely a tool for accountability.

yeah idk to me it feels like… acknowledging the severity of the problem? is it ideal? no but being addicted to like five different drugs is also not ideal 🤷🏻‍♀️ it feels to me like maybe it helps keep him accountable but also like maybe she had some feelings about dating a guy with what seems like a very severe substance abuse issue and this is also a way of making her feel safe without having to like… always worry if it’s wrong of her to ask. if that makes sense.
