Makes me sad to think that even this version of Britney - if it had ended then would be leading a totally different life.

For all the time that it went on, I do feel like a lot of the worst damage was done towards the end when they cancelled Domination in order to institutionalise her. Not to downplay what was going on before, but that def seemed like one of the worst incidents.

It did seem like she was starting to more or less return to her old self at around the time of the promo of Glory, and of course she’s since spoken about being heavily over medicated on lithium after that when they institutionalised her 😢 Who even knows what kind of long term damage that could of caused as it doesn’t exactly sound like anything at that place was on the up and up

What strikes me most about that is that it's actually a very mild comment (and certainly much more mild than shit they did let her say in For The Record). Heck, plenty of artists who haven't been in conservatorships say very similar things about prior work that they felt was more dictated by the label or whatever.

For them to react to it the way they did... they must've been really afraid of what she might say next.

I’m gonna say something that I noticed from jump regarding For The Record. She was extremely candid. Looked totally fine in Womanizer and the Circus video and the next video was If U Seek Amy and that was the first time I ever saw her with dead eyes. In my heart I feel that she said too much but hey couldn’t stop it from airing and that’s when they started sedating and controlling her more.

They used FTR as comeback tool... As "look guys, we got her under control, your princess is back to normal~"
And it worked

For The Record had a lot of converatorship talk slide because it was temporary at that time, and I truly don't think her team originally thought the courts would grant them a permanent conservatorship then. Because it made no sense they let her speak out on it and keep it in the edit so plainly like that.... once it became permanent, Britney was silenced full-stop and never spoke of such things again
