November 10, 2024 A previously cut clip of Britney Spears talking about the conservatorship in 2016 on the UK "Jonathan Ross Show" has emerged.
It is the only time Britney ever mentioned the topic publicly before her legal battle to free herself from it.
Center to the discussion is Britney's then new album "Glory". When asked why was she more more in control with this album in comparison to her previous ones Britney stated “Since the conservatorship...I'm in a conservatorship it's the third year of me being under that… I felt like a lot of the things were planned for me to do and, you know, being told what to do. And I was just like, for this one, I want to make it my baby, and I want to do it myself, and I was very strategic about the way I did it, and, um, yeah, that’s why it means so much to me.”
