wait, should i spoiler tag? let me try. i'm not sure i remember how lmao
[Spoiler (click to open)]I liked Sumayah but I think her downfall was trying to be too experimental with flavors and not knowing whether they really worked together/were a good fusion first?
The thing is, they even chose flavours in the past that they didn't like/didn't taste and I was like...wut?? why?? at the very least you should work with stuff you LIKE to work with if you get a choice in the matter (unlike Gill being a coffee hater, because you can't avoid using coffee in tirumisu lmao)
I haven’t watched this episode yet, but I decided to spoil myself. Idk how it’s so obvious, but I’ve been right about every elimination so far. I suspected it was this person was next. Aw boo.
(I hated last week’s elimination because she was such a joy that I couldn’t even be sad, lol.)
Like the user above me said, it’s the editing! They include outright clips of the baker who is eliminated stating something about going home not doing well every episode, lol. I’ve noticed that as well.
I didn’t think of that! Subliminal messaging at work! 😂 I feel like the judges stating who could go home after the showstopper has also been pretty transparent. Idk why they decided to switch it up so much this season.
I just finished watching it and felt like it was not only rude, but also really dark for a show like this. I liked her comeback to him. What a little shit. He’s still a fantastic baker, but that left a bad taste in mouth.
It’s hilariously coincidental that three different versions of this show made tiramisù in the same week despite having totally different themes (coffee and tea on the Canadian show, Italian week on the Australian show, and desserts of GBBO).
Dylan’s coconut meringue nests really put him in contention for star baker right away and then he won the technical so I was holding my breath wondering if he would have a huge mishap during the showstopper.
I love peach so I was drooling over Gill’s showstopper.
But OMG Christiaan and rose water!
I’ve never had lemon with coffee before so I can’t say for sure if it’s as awful as the judges said it was (to be honest, I am always suspicious when they criticize unusual, non-traditional, or non-western flavors because they are very old fashioned and set in their ways about what flavors they like), but since week 1, I just assumed that Sumayah was going to be in the finale.
